Private Training

Who is private training for?

  1. Someone new to kettlebells and Z-Health who wants to learn the basics before moving on to Small Group Classes

  2. Someone with joint pain, restricted range of motion or other conditions that need special attention

  3. Someone who prefers private individualized attention

  4. Someone who needs specific nutritional and lifestyle coaching for fat loss

  5. Higher level athletes who need specific performance coaching

What is my first session like?

Your first session will vary based on whether you are seeing me for fat loss coaching, kettlebell instruction, fitness or pain relief / injury rehabilitation.

Your first session will be pretty easy. I will evaluate your health history, personal goals and run you through some movement screening.

If you are seeing me for fitness training then I'll run you through the basics of kettlebell exercise and Z-Health drills for our foundation. How fast we progress depends on how fast of a learner you are. If you are rocking and rolling we will move right along, if you need more time on the basics we will spend more time there. You will be getting the benefits of exercise either way.

The real value of 1-on-1 training is that it is totally customized to YOUR needs as opposed to the larger group classes that are for overall fitness.

For nutrition coaching and pain relief / injury rehab we will proceed as appropriate.

Private training is really my premiere service, with group classes you don't get individualized nutrition coaching or pain relief / injury rehab that you get with private training.

Travel to your location: I have very limited availability for traveling to your location. Rates are higher as I must charge for travel time as well. Contact me if you are interested and to see if I am available.

Semi-Private Training

Semi-private training essentially provides the same benefits of private training but you can share the session with someone else at a reduced rate. You may work with a family member or friend or I can pair you up with another one of my private clients who prefers semi-private training.

Semi-private training typically ranges from 2 to 4 people.

Small Group Classes

Small group classes are for the person who enjoys exercising with others.

What makes my group classes different than your typical gym classes?

  • Class sizes are typically 4 - 6 people so they are cozy

  • You still get personal attention

  • Rather than stand at the front of the class and expect everyone to keep up with me, I semi-customize your experience allowing you to work at a skill level and pace that is appropriate for your fitness level and goals.

  • We work all aspects of fitness: Strength, cardio, joint mobility, flexibility, visual skills, vestibular balance drills, coordination and suppleness, and more.

  • Often you will pair up with a partner for motivation, fun and encouragement

  • We all support each other, like each other and have fun. Frequently knuckles are given when people make improvements.

Small group classes are the economical way to get your fitness, have a fun time but still get all aspects of your fitness covered. There are no other fitness classes in Colorado offering all that we offer.

Before you begin Small Group Classes:

Beginners to kettlebell and Z-Health training must first receive instruction in the basics. You can get that either from private training or from my beginner-level classes on Monday nights. Please contact me for the best option for you on how to get started.

Clients not local to me can still get the benefits of my expertise in fitness, strength, fat loss, nutrition coaching, muscle development, injury prevention and believe it or not, in pain relief and injury rehabilitation, not to mention performance coaching.   • I can work with whatever exercise equipment you have access to; kettlebell, barbells, bodyweight, etc.

  • Having trouble with an exercise technique? Send me a recording of the video for me to review. OR I can send you a video with proper technique.

 

Top Reasons Why Personalized Program Design Works:

  • It is customized for you - If buying a nutrition book and an exercise book worked for you then you would already be on your way to reaching your goals. What you need is coaching and motivation.

  • You have an accountability partner - If you just answer to yourself you might be more likely to skip your workout and overly cheat on your diet. But knowing someone else is involved in the process you are more likely to stick to the program.

  • If you spend money it has more value - Seriously. This will make you respect the time and energy you are putting into this.

  • The training is fun - Let's face it, who wants to go spend hours on a treadmill? Boring! These training sessions will be brief, fun, challenging with enough variety to not get boring but not so much variety that you have no focus. Besides, nothing is more fun than making progress, read my client testimonials!

  • The nutrition is doable - Not many people have the ability to just pick up an Atkins, Zone or any other diet book and "just do it!" Most people don't want to give up their favorite foods and need to make small changes to be realistic. If you are one of those rare people who can just change what they eat no big deal then I'll tell you exactly what to do to make the quickest results.

  • You can exercise at home or at the gym - I will design your exercise program based on equipment that you have access to at home, even if it is just your bodyweight or you can train at the gym if preferred.

 

How do I get started with Personalized Program Design?

  1. Choose one of the personalized program design options, 1, 3 or 6 month here. You will be taken to my PayPal shopping cart where you can pay by any major credit card or by using a PayPal account.

  2. I will receive an email confirmation from PayPal showing that you have paid and which service you chose. I will then get in contact with you by the email address you supply to PayPal. If you wish you may also send me an email with your full name and preferred email address that I should contact you through.

  3. I will send you a list of questions to answer about yourself which you can email back to me. These questions will cover your goals and where you are at now. I might also inquire about your sleep quality and hours per night, your nutrition, stress levels, what equipment you have to train with, etc. Upon reviewing your information I will no doubt have some follow up questions which I will send to you.

  4. I will continue asking questions to try to help determine the best direction for your for exercise and nutrition until we find what works. I will ask you to track your progress and stay in touch with me on a regular basis and will make adjustments to keep progress continuing.

  5. During this whole time you will have unlimited email access to me. As I used to say in the corporate training world, "there is no such thing as a dumb question, so ask away." I will answer promptly, I check email daily except Sunday, at worst it may take 2 days for a reply. If you do not get a reply from me then your email server is blocking my email.
