Z-Health Performance Certifications

Russian Kettlebell Certified Instructor - RKC Certification

The original, the toughest, the real deal. The RKC kettlebell instructor certification was the first kettlebell instructor certification around. It is the most challenging and rewarding kettlebell/fitness certification around.

Comrade Pavel Tsatsuoline first introduced the kettlebell to the US over a decade ago and now the RKC has spread world-wide with instructors from Japan to Africa to Europe and of course the Americas.

The RKC focuses on technique, strength and conditioning using the kettlebell. When I first went to the RKC back in 2006 it was eye-opening. Part lecture, part practice, part workout. You learn the theory and science behind kettlebell training, how to design training programs for clients, you get an amazing tool-set of ways to correct your client's bad movement patterns and learn how to keep them safe.

I think the one thing that really stands out with the RKC are the corrective drills you learn. I had never before seen a system that uses so many ways to cue a client for how a technique should be performed, most fitness instructors demo and then expect a client to be able to perform. The RKC teaches you how to give the client drills so they can feel how they are supposed to move, these drills were invaluable to me when I first began teachnig kettlebells and I still use them with all clients.

Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification - HKC

While the RKC is the gold standard in kettlebell certifications, the HKC may be the place to start for someone brand new to kettlebells wanting to get a beginner-level kettlebell certification.

The HKC is the little brothe to the RKC. It has all of the same teaching drills with a reduced curriculum of exercises, a cheaper price tag and... they will allow you to apply credit towards the RKC should you choose to continue to getting your RKC certification
